Occupy Your Mind with Calm

Mary Jaksch writes the Goodlife Zen blog, and this post is especially meaningful in respects to achieving zenity.

Anxiousness, negativity, overwhelmed, all these feelings can burst into your mind in a split second. Two vital traits for handling these feelings is to develop the ability to 1) instantly recognize when they spark in your mind, and 2) just as quickly take the mental and physical time needed to return your mind back to a calm state. The more you train your mind to return to calm, the harder it will be for such feelings to take your mind out of being calm. That's zenity.
